Josie Maran Argan Stick, and Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation Reviews!

Tuesday...I'm exhausted already.  Feeling better than yesterday, but still super tired!

Today's Lipstick of the Day (another multi-tasker) is...
Josie Maran Argan Color Stick in Rosey!

I've had this bad boy for over a year, and I doooo love this thing.  This really is an all in one - lipstick, blush, or a nice dash of color whever you like :)  I am wearing it on my lips and cheeks in the above picture.  It is comfortable to wear on both lips and cheeks, and looks great on both!  Rosey is a Dusty Rose color, which is neutral and would be flattering on all skintones.  This is NOT a cream to powder finish (unlike the NARS Multiples, or many other color sticks on the market) and it also has other benefits!
This thing is SUPERSIZED and ready to make you beautiful!

Josie Maran describes this product as:

The Argan-oil infused color stick is a sheer tint that gives lasting, natural- looking color to cheeks and lips. All shades are designed to flatter every skin tone. The paraben and fragrance free formula contains Josie's signature ingredient, organic Argan Oil-the world's richest source of vitamin E and essential fatty acids. Size .55oz/16g.

I really love Josie Maran's line, they are all organic, eco-friendly products, and the company describes themselves as "Luxury with a Conscience."  I would have to say that the only downside of this product would be that it does have a slight medicinal smell - it never bothered me though, I actually like it.  When you apply it to your lips and cheeks, it is a slight cooling feel, but again, this is something I happen to like :) This awesome beauty multi-tasker won the Allure Editor's Choice Award...so you know this stuff is off the hook!  This particular product also comes in a clear version, which is just a moisturizing stick, and it comes in one other color, Posey, which is a neutral pink.

These are available at Sephora, and www.josiemarancosmetics.com and are $22 each.  I know the price looks steep, but this thing is enormous and will last you forever.  Like I said, I've had mine over a year, and I haven't even made a quarter of an inch dent in it.  www.josiemarancosmetics.com is running a 15% off special right now when you use the coupon code KISSES.  This ends at midnight on Valentines Day :)

Next up...

Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation

I ended up getting this at CVS last month, I used a coupon and got it for around $8.  This stuff is not cheap otherwise, if I remember correctly its about $15.  It comes in a huge heavy duty glass jar, which I like and I don't like.  Obviously, it looks pretty cool...however, when you have to dip your fingers or a sponge in it constantly, this is not very sanitary, and can cause bacterial growth, and exposure to air, which can oxidize the product - making it a different color.  This is why most people are fans of the "pump" foundations...including me...anyways...

I used the classic version of Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation for years.  That stuff rocks - and actually does stay on through sweat and everything...

Revlon describes their Colorstay Whipped Foundation as...

Finally, truly decadent makeup offers ultimate performance. The mousse-like texture feels like silk on your skin. And, the time release formula balances skin for a flawless look. All day flexible wear without flaking, caking or feeling heavy. Buildable to full coverage for flawless skin.  Soft, matte finish all day long. Withstands heat and humidity – great for summer.  Comes in 16 beautiful shades.

It's not a moussey texture at all, I'd say it's more of a gel.  It's not airy at all either, but it does feel silky.  This foundation feels to me, really oily on my skin, but not to the touch.  To the touch, my skin feels very silky, and there is minimal transfer.  This has to be applied with a sponge, I wouldn't recommend applying with fingers - it's SO messy!  I haven't attempted to build this up to full coverage, I don't have the patience for that, frankly.  This stuff requires too much work - there's way better stuff out there, in my humble opinion. :) Revlon, you can do better.  This is still in my stash, and I'm sure I will revisit it at some point...but not anytime soon! :)

In other news...

Urban Decay Cosmetics www.urbandecay.com are running their Friends and Family Promotion!  Use code FFSPRING13 at checkout to receive 20% off your order! :)  YAY I think it might finally be time for me to get one of those Naked Palettes that I've kind of been obsessing over for awhile!

Pretty much every makeup-obsessed girl has been pooping their pants about these palettes FOREVER.  Maybe it's time for me to see what all the fuss is about :)  Each palette comes with a brush, the Naked 1 (top) comes with urban decay's primer potion (which is seriously AWESOME) and the Naked 2 (bottom) comes with a mini gloss.  Too cute :)

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO just got a Multimedia Picture Message from Billy, and good news!!!
